Jacques' responsibilities include business development, organizational strategy/planning, and design leadership. Jacques' main focus is in the area of physical product design and user interface for telecommunications equipment and information appliances for both consumer and business use. Many of the projects he directs are cross-disciplinary, bringing together interface designers, industrial/mechanical designers, and researchers to develop innovative hardware and software solutions.
Jacques brings a strong background in next-generation product design, strategic planning and team building, with over twenty-five years of product and user interface design experience across both North America and Europe. Prior to starting Design Interpretive as an independent company, he worked at Nortel Networks where he was responsible for leading the development for Consumer and Infrastructure products, in addition to championing a number of Network Services/ Management initiatives. His experience spans a wide range of Consumer, Enterprise and Service Provider solutions covering a broad spectrum of technologies, including Optical, Wireless, Broadband and Access. Jacques holds 8 patents, and received Nortel Networks President 'Top Talent' award (1997-2000), President's Award for teaming (1997) and Award for Innovation SoundWear (1996). Jacques holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from the University of Montreal.
