Desmond Ryan
Vice President Experience Design

Desmond is responsible for business operations and product solution services. He is a specialist in value-centered design strategy and has spent is career working in the research and design of high technology, communication and consumer products. He has held several management positions during his career at Nortel Networks. He is the former Director of Design Leadership in Nortel Networks where he was responsible for the overall strategic direction of the human factors design group in Ottawa, Canada and London, England. He has contributed directly to the design and direction of several product initiatives in the enterprise, network and consumer product portfolios including such well known products as the Norstar Key Systems and the Vista 350.

Desmond received a Bachelors degree in Industrial Design from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada as well as a Masters degree in Industrial design from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He has been recognized with a Presidents award for teamwork in 1997, and contributed to publications on design management.
